HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!
HOW ARE YOU DOING? I hope you are doing fine cause you sure do look fine ;)

I'm so sorry I don't have a very deep/motivational post but I'm not very sentimental (aka I was lazy.) However, I do have a really fun travel post for you all to read! I hope you would enjoy it as much as I did making it! :-) :-) :-) <-- smileys for the new year, please take one and be happyyyyyyy!!!

Just a quick little side note:The itinerary I came up with is not jam packed because I wanted this trip to be r e l a x i n g. I wanted to take my time looking through each museum/shop/etc. during this trip. A lot of the time, vacations become stressful because of the too early call times in order to get to a bunch of places, making the "vacation" less of a vacation, and more like a punishment. To avoid this, I planned out one main attraction for each day then kind of just let the day go by. :-)

Travel days are usually a drag, especially if you have to wake up at 4 AM. This would usually result into extreme drowsiness leading you to sleep basically everywhere- car ride to the airport, on the plane, MRT/cab ride to the hotel, and *bam* on the hotel bed. You know what sleeping entails? Bad breath. So please do remember to bring the most important thing you need to get you through this day: a toothpaste and toothbrush. Also, do not overlook the fact that you also *might* need your passport, plane ticket, money, luggage, etc.

                                    + check into the hotel
+ hotel room appreciation (jump on your bed a few times, gaze into the
view, sniff the contents of the mini shampoo bottles, unpack, etc.)

(check out nearby malls, photo ops)
                                    + dinner
                                    = lazy relaxing day

If you love to surround yourself with creativity and art, do visit the Singapore Art Museum (SAM). SAM was my favorite museum that I visited during the trip. There were so much cool art/installations I wish I made. If you only have one free day to visit a museum, pick this one as it's the largest (also, read: it's free!)

There were some workshops/artsy crafty things to do as well. Since it was Christmas time, the activities were concentrated towards the holiday- cutting snowflakes out of paper and forming Christmas trees out of foil, wire, and sequins.

+ free magnum, light shopping, early dinner
+ MRT ride back to the hotel

SAM @ 8Q is actually the brother/son (?) of the Singapore Art Museum. It's a smaller art museum, located at a different street (but it's just a few steps away!) I would recommend you to check out SAM and SAM @ 8Q on the same day but my mom told me that we could only visit one museum a day (hehehe) If you're a cheap-o, you wouldn't be impressed with SAM @ 8Q as you have to pay an entrance fee.

+ quick walk around Bugis (wasn't really in the mood to shop hehe)
+ walked to Haji Lane (window shopped. rain was pouring so 0 photos :( )

If you're into the latest innovations of the world, visit the Red Dot Design Museum. You get to see so much inventions you didn't know already existed. Also, if you're a design freak, and is really into packaging and design books, totally visit here because there are so much books to satisfy your thirst for aesthetic visuals. Also, who wouldn't want to visit a large, all-red building?!  (Note for the cheap-os: there's an admission fee here!)

Confession: I didn't actually go into IKEA.
Well, I did ride the 12 station ride to Tampines (the place where IKEA is located) as well waiting for approximately 20 minutes for the IKEA shuttle. I also rode the 8-10 minute shuttle ride to IKEA. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? My mom and I didn't go down the bus. Why didn't we go down? It was another travel day for us. Since we left the hotel so late and didn't anticipate the 30 minute wait, my mom didn't think it was worth it to go down and run around IKEA if it would mean being late for our plane. (Take note: IKEA IS HELLA BIG)

                                                                                          PLAY BY PLAY

                                       Call time: 11 AM
+ Kaya toast + Milo Dinosaur breakfast @ Coffee and Toast (LITERALLY                                                                             MY FAVE)
                                    + MRT ride to Tampines
+ got lost trying to find the IKEA shuttle
+ 30 minute wait at the IKEA shuttle "terminal" (super long line!)
                                    + approx. 30 minute joyride to and from IKEA :-( :-( :-(
+ MRT ride back to the hotel
+ taxi ride to the airport

Weeee that's it for my trip to Singapore! I hope that it wasn't too long and boring for you to read.

I know that this 2015 we will all be able to achieve our big goals and dreams!!!! Where are we heading?? Nowhere but up!! Take care always! 'Til next time! :-) :-) :-) <-- not to late to take a smiley :-)

Those days you feel very ~teenager-y

Whenever I feel very, for a lack of a better term, ~teenager-y, I like to let the feelings go through my system, and feel it for even just a few moments, taking it all in. Pain Feelings demand to be felt. (Hey, John Green!) If the emotions are too overpowering, I either cry (think of it as a free way to moisturise your eyes, especially when you've been on your laptop for the whole day,) or let it out through incoherent jumbles of words that I think sound semi-cool together. Rereading old text posts would soon become something you would laugh at, you would even forget the reason for that piece! Hey, it’s better to create something out of all these "feels" than to keep it bottled up.

The next time you feel the familiar ~teenager-y way again, try your hardest to find positivity in the negative, even if it's hella difficult.  Maybe then you would understand why you’re feeling that way, or if not, it's a great way to discover yourself through poorly articulated literature!!

Remember
Whatever you’re going through will elapse and life will go on and become better, just wait and see. :-)
it's all up to you, no pressure, really.

Since the past month, I have been dabbling with the thought of “discovery,” and how captivating its  idea is. It’s often paired up with words like “search” and “wonder,” and all of those words together brings us to the idea of being “limitless.” Isn’t it a great thought, the idea of you being limitless to thoughts and actions and opportunities and just about anything, if you just let yourself!

Safe to say, the past few weeks made me discover and rediscover certain parts of me, good and bad, that I never thought, or have forgotten, that was me. I was in a situation that I never thought I would be able to accomplish alone, but I did, because I let myself! (Also, by faking ’til I make it.) And I think, if you let yourself do something you never thought that you could do, you would totally kickass!

a very lame attempt to spice up an otherwise all text post

Discoveries may lead to certain changes, like this tiny little change I am implementing in this creative space I have made a couple of years ago.

This blog, my sartorial diary, obviously haven’t been updated regularly and timely for months and months. I think it’s me losing interest in just fashion. I mean, 2 years ago, fashion was weekends, the only time I could dress up. Now that I have to dress myself daily, the thrill fashion gave me subsided. Hey, I still love fashion, and the ability to express my creativity and mood through outfits, but it’s not just what I want to be associated with.

Without hesitation, I am chucking the central idea of this blog, being only a fashion blog, altogether. “Stop, Drop, and Dress Up,” a blog title that took me around thirty minutes to come up with, is now gone and is replaced with a better, and hopefully much more sustainable blog. I was always scared of voicing out my thoughts and opinions, though I tried to a lot of times, but hopefully, tonight, this courage would last and fight on.

I was never great with titles (see: “stop, drop, and dress up”,) or introductions, but I will leave this agape concept (since I do not want to limit myself anymore):

This blog will consist of discoveries, rediscoveries, and to discovers. Anything that would align to my current state- whenever and wherever that may be.

This venture could totally be one of those things that I say I would do but don’t, or it could be something that would enhance me, and hopefully, you.

Well, here goes nothing. Oh, and here’s a song to give you/us/me a push.
